Leverage Auditions - Saturday July 19

RSVP to staff@lv-dt.org
Doors will open at 10am
To audition, performers will need to complete the form above, either in advance or at the audition. There is a place to upload a headshot (or pic of yourself) and resume on the form. A resume is not required.
The audition will consist of a class to warm-up, followed by a couple of combinations from the upcoming Dec performance which will be for "A Not-So-Normal Nutcracker" as well as some improvisation activities. As our work is often collaborative, these activities will allow you to focus a little more on theatrical and performance qualities, as well as offer you direction in what "dance theater" means for us.
There is no dress code required, except that you feel comfortable to move in any way that might be presented. We encourage you to be very comfortable, but advise against excessively baggy clothes so that we can see detail in your movement. Most of our dancers perform barefoot, but you can also dance in socks or shoes, if you prefer, for class.
Dancers should be trained in a combination of modern, improvisation and ballet and be comfortable performing in close proximity to their audience. Dancers should be prepared to participate in a modern/contemporary-based technique class, improvisation, partnering and/or longer combinations.
