Leverage Dance Theater's most popular Site Specific Halloween production returns to Cherokee Street, with new characters and new dances. If you loved this show, the last time, you won't want to miss this latest variation. Grab and friend and join us once again for an evening of spooky surprises.

From playful to downright creepy, Nightmares & Dreamscapes transports audiences to another world as they travel through two floors, multiple rooms, long hallways, and the basement of 2715 Cherokee Street. At each turn, audiences might find themselves in a very familiar dream… or nightmare.

“This project was in my head for a long time,” said R. Vance Baldwin who had the original idea for the show.  “There is something fascinating about the fears we face, and how they affect us in our dream states.”

Leverage artists embrace the challenge of transforming into new characters and creatures with each Halloween show.

“These productions allow us to create performances to which almost no rules apply,” Artistic Director, Diana Barrios said.

Directed by Leverage Dance Theater Director, Diana Barrios, in collaboration with R. Vance Baldwin, the show includes choreography by all company members and former Associate Director, Keli Hermes. It also features young performers from Taylor’s Academy of Dance and Dance Center of Kirkwood.

Leverage’s mission includes making dance more accessible. No-cost and low-cost tickets are offered to disadvantaged communities. Patrons may support this initiative by purchasing a ticket designated to be gifted to someone in need. To request reduced priced and free tickets and for additional information about the show’s limited accessibility contact staff@lv-dt.org.

This performance is possible with the support of WJL Properties & Intersect Arts Center.  Financial and in-kind support provided by Sports Medicine & Training Center, the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency,  Regional Arts Commision of St. Louis and a supportive group of individual donors.
