Nicole Halama (Assistant Director) is originally from St. Louis, MO, and began her dance training at Dance Center of Kirkwood. She continued her training studying at Southeast Missouri State University, and then at Columbia College Chicago. After moving back to St. Louis in 2013, she began training with The Big Muddy Dance Company, in their first apprentice program. Upon returning, Nicole also had the honor of teaching and coaching at Dance Center, and several years later, at Taylors Academy of Dance in Illinois. Nicole has a passion for performing and working with the young students in Leverage’s youth program. She strives to continue helping the company and its youth program grow to provide opportunities for the younger generation of dancers. This is Nicole’s 10th year with the company, and newly appointed Assistant Director. She is excited to continue performing and taking on this new role!
