Leverage is excited to welcome audiences back to a live arts event on Cherokee Street!
It's been awhile since we've been able to see you face to face, and Leverage is thrilled to present Pause! Pause is a socially distanced reflection on the disintegration of our social and cultural realities as a result of COVID-19, featuring live dance, visual art and screendance.

Q: What is Pause?
A. Pause is a gallery style event featuring new live dance performances by Leverage artists, dance for camera works by local, national and international artists, and visual art such as drawing and photography by St. Louis artists.
Q: Where?
A: Pause is at 2700 Cherokee Street - a 14000 sq ft, two-story space with lots of room to view, enjoy and digest art safely.
Q: When?
A: April 29 - 6-8pm, April 30 - 6-9pm, May 1 - 5-9pm, May 2 - 2-4pm
Q: Am I going to sit the whole time like I would at a theater performance?
A: Nope! In true Leverage fashion, audience members will be able to follow a marked path to see all art, films, and dance. Audiences can choose to pause as they watch a film or new site-specific dance or continue walking through.
Q: How much and where can I get a ticket?
A: In an effort to further reinforce Leverage's mission and provide the most accessibility for those that might have been affected financially by the pandemic, Pause is at no cost to our patrons. However, we do appreciate a suggested donation of $5-25 to help cover technical expenses.
Q: Are you following Covid guidelines?
A: Yes! Both Leverage Dance Theater and the Pause production are Missouri ArtSafe certified. Leverage artists and volunteers are following all local and CDC guidelines. Both audience members and performers will be masked and socially-distance measures in place. Audience sizes will be limited with timed entry every 30 minutes.
Q: How many artists are participating in this performance?
A: Great question! 7 Leverage artists, 4 visual artists, 8 local, national and international filmmakers
